We are often asked about 'virgin' and 'unsulfanated' castor oil. Virgin is a term applied only to olive oil, that is now being used by some marketers to describe their castor oil. Virgin, in the context of olive oils, means that the oils have been extracted only by mechanical means. The same with the term 'unsulfanated', which is used to describe products that have not had sulphur dioxide used to increase their shelf life. Of course, our castor oil is cold-pressed and organic, with no heat or solvents used so yes, you could call it virgin and unsulfanated.
Our castor oil originates in India. Castor plants are especially grown without the use of sprays or pesticides. The castor plants are then harvested, and oil extracted by the cold-press process. It then goes through a rigorous certification process. Our castor oil is shipped to New Zealand in steel drums, then decanted directly into glass bottles.

HOW TO USE
Rub and wrap: rub directly onto your skin then wear a castor oil wrap overnight. The castor oil wrap simply means you can have the oil on your skin for longer periods of time without ruining your clothes and sheets.
- sore joints: rub on affected area and wrap overnight before showering off in the morning
- hair growth: massage into the roots of your hair, wrap overnight with one of our castor oil hair towels and wash out in the morning
- eyelashes and eyebrows: apply and leave for an hour or two before washing off, or wear the eye wrap overnight
- waist/ digestion/ hormones: apply generously to your tummy area and wrap overnight. Can be consumed orally but start with a tablespoon 2-3 times a week and increase as you need to.
- sore hands/ arthritis: apply generously then wrap in a towel or waterproof mittens and wear overnight before washing in the morning.
- sore back,:rub castor oil on the affected area, use the waist wrap to cover the castor oil and wear overnight
